Hi, I’m Brendan Miller. I make video explainers for YouTube, a range of commercial clients, and broadcasters like the BBC and The New York Times.

Currently I’m looking for some people to help me!

Most of the work will be for my YouTube channel, *The Ideas That Explain the News.* In each video I share concepts from social science, political science or history that explain how the world works at a deeper level, hopefully giving you something of value long after today's headlines have been forgotten.

Currently, these roles are best for those interested in part-time, flexible, remote working. They’re suited to people looking for jobs that will fit around other work and responsibilities. However I expect the roles to grow in future.

Journalists / Producers

I’m looking for producers to help with:

• Research
• Scripting
• Archive research - finding video clips

If you have any of the following please do mention in your email:

• Knowledge/ experience of news and politics - especially the US
• Experience writing or scripting on politics. Please include an example of an article or video if you have one. (Just one example please.)
• Experience in YouTube - especially in explainers or politics
• Knowledge of social sciences (political science, economics, etc)
